Thankyou everyone

I appreciate all those people who kindly donated to my blog in order to buy a laptop and get the internet connection. I have already bought a laptop computer and I am going to get the internet connection in few days. I would also like to thank chap for his package and digital camera. Soon I will have interviews with the ANA officers, NCOs and soldiers and I will post their voice and photos to the world. I am trying to persuade some of my friends to start their own blog and let them use my computer. We must all work together and make a peaceful world. Once again I appreciate all of you for your kind efforts.

Comments:
You are more than welcome. I want you to continue to tell us the truth about what is happening in Afghanistan. We do not get hardly any news at home. We appreciate all you do for us. Thank you. Have a great day.

This is great news! It's great to hear that you're making progress. Good luck with that silver camera; I tried it and it's got a nasty habit of forgetting all the pictures you took! (It might be better to use it connected to the laptop...)

Glad you're now oficially in the the internet world. I'd remind everyone that he'll continue to need funds to stay connected and help others.

I look forward to continuing to read your insights and news from Afganistan.

tony from NZ, would you support NZ joining a coalition to free Iran? I'm trying to lobby the Australian government to form such a coalition. See www.antisubjugator.blogspot.com

Congradulations on new laptop

Tony, we in the U.S. just had a sex offender molest a 9-year-old and then bury her alive. And, in the past, we've had our share of mob violence.

Afganistan was relegated technologically and culturally to the Middle Ages by decades of war. It takes awhile for a society to crawl out of that. Give them time; they've come very far in a short time.

Tony NZ, "the vast majority of Iraqis loathed Hussein which made the job of handling the aftermath of his removal much easier than it could have been."

Actually it was made much more difficult by disbanding the old army. There was a good reason to do that, since the old army was tainted, but in Iran there is no need to disband the security forces, so it will be much easier to handle the aftermath.

"I am not convinced that enough Iranians feel the same way about their ayatollah because Iran is so thoroughly Islamic, unlike Iraq."

The gloss wears off Islamofascism after you've had to actually live with it for decades. You can tell from the voting that they want moderates, and since then they have boycotted the elections to show their disillusionment. It's ripe for change.

"There'd be no respite from attacks against the coalition troops *anywhere* in Iran."

No need to hang around. All you need to do is take out anyone with heavy-weaponry who wants to fight, and then hand over the keys. It's exactly what our militaries are designed to do. It'll take about 3 weeks and cost 100 coalition lives.

"So, not yet. I'd need to see proof that the vast majority of Iranians are on our side or at least would not hinder attempts by the coalition to democratize the country."

The country already has everything in place. The only thing that needs to be done is to dissolve the Guardian Council and allow anyone to run for parliament. The reformers, who can take over as temporary administrators, are already known. They're the ones that the Guardian Council wouldn't allow to stand at the last elections.

It's a no-brainer.

Dear Tony NZ,
I'd have to agree mostly with Paul Edwards' last comment. They have been protesting in the streets for years now, only the Iranian gov't won't allow pictures to leave their country. I used to have links to some bloggers (dissident activists) but they are now in jail. The gov't. is now watching closing and monitering all blogs.

Have you seen the protests in Iran? At least heard of them? That is sad. The students are beaten, arrested, tortured, and jailed for a long time. Do not wish on others that which you are unwilling to endure yourself. I believe that's a quote, but it is appropriate.

Do you remember Dred Scott? We are not perfect, either. Give them some time. We still have the death, which I support. Others do not. European gov't officials think that is barbarick. (sp?) I don't actually care what the EU thinks. This is our country, and they have theirs. As long as we all work together for larger goals, all will go well. Have a great day.

I meant to say, "we still have death penalty."

Tony NZ, "The Iraqi forces had its Baathist sympathizers"

They were not really a problem. Anyone who turns up for duty after the new administration arrives, either obeys orders, or gets sacked. The problem in Iraq was that the security forces were TAINTED. The US is trying to set up a model democracy. The way to do that is to create security forces with NO PAST.

"and there's no reason to think the Iranian forces would lack sympathizers of the jihadist variety"

The Iranian conscript army is a reflection of the population at large. In addition, they are not the ones with a history of brutality against their own people. It's the Revolutionary Guards and imported Arab thugs that do that. There's no problem that sacking won't solve.

"ready and willing to be moles for the inevitable insurgency against the infidels"

The infidels won't be there.

"It would need to be disbanded for the same reason the Iraqi Army was disbanded."

Nope. The free world needed a model ARAB country, and Iraq was the best choice for that. Iran is not Arab.

"I don't think that is the case when it is a people's deep seated ideology"

Islam is not a deep-seated ideology for the majority of Iranians. That's why they voted for reformers, and then eventually decided to boycott the elections altogether because they were sick of Mullahs being in power.

"They will endure a living hell and make the lives of others a living hell because they are doing the right thing by their god."

Even if this was true, which it's not, don't you think that the people in Iran who are NOT like that should be empowered? Basically, whatever the percentage of humanist allies there are in Iran, they're the ones I want the heavy weapons handed over to.

"O.K, so we hand over the keys, and after three weeks we're outta there. What's to stop the country from then decending into a state of anarchy and civil war?"

With coalition air support, you're going to get the same result you got with the civil war in Afghanistan. We have the technology to do this.

"How can any freedom loving Iranian be protected from harm when, as yet, there exist no rational secular based instituitions to protect him, nor punish rights violators in a just manner?"

We already have a situation where freedom-loving Iranians do not have human rights. Toppling the regime would only lead to improvements in this situation.

"The EU has not presented any rational argument against the death penalty per se, so I just ignore its squeals."

Well, I used to be in favour of the death penalty until I realised that people are just reacting to their genes and their environment. I believe I know how to counter people's genetic makeup. But even if I'm wrong, someone else may figure out how to counter the genes, and if you kill them it's too late to do anything about it. Humans who kill are NATURAL ANIMALS just like lions. I've documented it fully at:

www.moatazilla.org

"Where are all the brave adults, or are they more supportive of the Islamic thugocracy?"

There is nothing that unarmed brave adults can do against men with automatic weapons who are prepared to use them. You get the same slaughter that you got in WWI. They need our help.

brian h, a conscript army armed with tanks will slaughter goons with guns.
